Matariki Night Market

Hauhake tū, ka tō Matariki- The Harvest Ends When Matariki Sets

Nau mai ki Hauhake tū, ka tō Matariki ki Te Kura Kaupapa Māori o Ōtepoti.

Our kura whānau welcome our community to celebrate Puaka Matariki with us. Me hui tahi, me noho tahi, me kai tahi - in unity we welcome in the new year. Our Pō Makete, our very first night market, has something for everyone to enjoy. We will have stall from each of our classes, with goodies for you to buy. Whether you are in the search of some locally crafted Māori art, raw fish, healing kawakawa balm, hangi, or to enjoy the beautiful tones of our kapa haka, our whare is open to you all.

Celebrate Puaka Matariki with Te Kura Kaupapa Māori O Ōtepoti whānau whānui, under the watchful gaze of Matamata. Bring your pūtea and your smile!

(Note: This event is hosted by Krystle van der Salm one of our Manukura (Co -chairperson) on the Board of Trustees for Te Kura Kaupapa Māori o Ōtepoti
